Busts ‘n’ Heads

Take a step away from the functional pottery. The workshop will go over the basics that you’ll need to build your first bust. Basic tips and tricks for hand-building a ceramic head over. The workshop will touch base on various techniques including coil-building, slab-building, how to use sculpting tools, how to slip and score attaching two pieces of clay, Facial Proportions, and structural integrity of clay.

• Introduction (5-minutes)

• Basic demonstration (25- minutes)

• Work-time (45-minutes/1-hour)

• Facial features demonstration (20 minutes)

• Work-time (1 hour)
