Carving & Texturing with Judi Tavill

This demonstration and hands-on workshop will focus on the methods and techniques Judi Tavill uses in her deeply carved and intensely textured ceramic vessels and objects. You will be taught the process that she has developed through experimentation and follow through. You will learn to approach the form from its structure to its skin and beyond. Judi will introduce you to tips and tricks that you can incorporate into your work extending well beyond the workshop experience. You will want to bring wheel thrown or handbuilt forms (with thicknesses of 1/2-1in thickness )to carve and texture and experiment with.
