Power Hour
Ceramic surface design can be similar to that of a canvas telling a story. We will explore effective ways to compose imagery on slabs and then onto vertical forms. With a brief look at classic ceramic design, we will then discuss line, texture, slips, underglaze, and oxides. Techniques like sgraffito, Mishima, paper and tape masking, and wax resist will also be introduced.
