Distinguished Speaker Series: Photographer Robert Gumpert

Join us for a free talk by photographer Robert Gumpert’s as he walks you through the pictures and the stories behind of some of his more memorable projects including the 1974 Mineworkers’ Coal Strike, social movements including in the overthrew Ferdinand Marcos in the Philippines, the conditions of Kashmiri refugees in Pakistan, the transition from apartheid in South Africa and democratic elections in Haiti. Robert will also be discussing his more recent projects including “Take a Picture, Tell a Story”, and the unnamed project on homelessness in San Francisco.
