Make Your Own Pottery Tools Workshop

Come and join guest artist, Kathleen Jensen, to expand your toolbox by making your own tools to make your time in the studio easier and to give your work unique and exciting!

Example tools include:

• Wiggle wires

• Braided flex wires

• Sponge on a stick

• Profile ribs

• Hot glue texture

• Eraser texture

• Chatter tool

• Roller texture

• Bat mats

All the materials and tools for construction will be provided. Students should come with safety glasses, closed toes shoes and a container to take it all home in. Safety in the studio will be covered as well as all construction methods. This is a great way to broaden your scope of tools and see how fun it is to make your own. Tools span between hand building and wheel throwing.

About the Instructor:

Kathleen Jensen has been a potter and teaching ceramics for more than 40-years. She holds a BA and a MA in Ceramics and loves broadening intermediate and advanced potters skill sets.
