Learn the basics of figure sculpture in this one-night workshop. In this workshop, students will learn the basic proportions of human anatomy, and then work from a live model to practice our new skills. Students will take home 1-2 small sculptures.

About The Event
Join sculptor, Kaytea Petro, and learn the basics of figure sculpture in this one-night workshop.
In this workshop, students will learn the basic proportions of human anatomy, and then work from a live model to practice our new skills. Students will take home 1-2 small sculptures.
Class Breakdown:
Introductions: 10 minutes
Warm Up/Demonstrations: 20 minutes
1st Sculpting Session: 45-60 minutes
Break/Mini Critique: 30 minutes
2nd Sculpting Session: 45-60 minutes
Clean up/Wrap Up: 15 minutes
Kaytea's Bio
Kaytea studied at UC Santa Cruz, the Florence Academy of Art, and the Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts; she also has done a residency under Pottery Bodhisattva Huang Muzhong in Jianshui, China. Her sculpture and installation work often is grounded in historical research and is frequently hyper-detailed and figurative. She shows her work at galleries across the US, and is a member of City Art Coop Gallery in SF.
