About The Event

Warith Taha is an Oakland-based artist whose work explores memory, material, and Black presence. Working across mediums, his work transforms found objects into evocative works of art. He has participated in prestigious residencies including the Headlands Center for the Arts and NXTHVN, and has exhibited at venues such as the Ford Foundation Gallery, Jenkins Johnson, and Sean Kelly Gallery. Taha’s practice investigates the ways material can hold history, serve as a vessel for personal and collective memory, and honor those who have passed.
